I am a full time PhD candidate at Virginia Tech, where I am studying Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Integrative STEM Education and working as a part-time graduate assistant on the STEMbot Design Based Biotechnical Learning Research project. My cognate is Learning Science and Technology. By graduation I will have also earned certification in Cognition and Education. Prior to this experience, I served as a Technology Training/Integration Specialist for Cobb County School District. This included providing training and professional development for teachers at four local schools. I provided support on assessments, lesson planning, technology integration, and also provided job embedding coaching. Prior to that position, I was an instructional technology specialist in Lee County School System, taught science in Lee County for 4 years, and math and science for two years prior to this at Byne Christian School.
