Life has completely changed for me over the last few months in the most positive and exciting way. I've renewed my wedding vows, just returned from a wonderful relaxing vacation exploring some Caribbean islands I am an accomplished Business Development Director and Account Manager with over 20 years’ experience in B2B sales in the printing sector. With particular expertise in SME accounts, I have also worked with many magazine and newspaper publishers to build long-lasting partnerships and drive growth in under-performing accounts. In recent leadership roles, I have transformed sales performance through organisational restructuring, building a new portfolio from scratch and project managing the delivery of significant publishing contracts. My areas of expertise include:-- Business Development – I developed a Tier 2 portfolio of clients at both Polestar and BGP, consistently exceeding target AV value and print run hours. In the former, I signed up 56 periodicals in 2 years. I also achieved a conversion rate for tenders of over 50% every quarter.- Client Retention – I secured the transfer of 90% of BGP clients to the Polestar production site by demonstrating the benefits of being with a printer with greater capacity while still assuring them of individual, quality service.- Project Management – Having won the high-profile contract for printing daily programmes for the London Olympics by securing accreditation to tender, I then managed day-to-day operations to meet tight turnaround times for collation of copy, printing and distribution. More recently I successfully managed a high profile account that is part of the United Nations. An account that not only involved print but also required outwork case binding, stock control and warehousing.- Team Management – At Polestar, I restructured the sales division by sector, re-energising the team by leading identification of potential clients and tracking action plans through the CRM database. This generated £2m additional sales within 3 months.
