As the Vice President of Internal Affairs, I act as academic chair by monitoring each member’s cumulative and semester GPA. Those who are under the organization’s GPA requirement will attend study hours organized by me every week until the end of the semester. I also deal with any internal conflict within the fraternity and work closely with the President.

As Recruitment Chair, I supervised students to become preliminary members and engrossed them through the recruitment process. I prepared the interested members for their interview by hosting a professionalism week where they learned about professional attire, interview preparation, CV and resumes.

The mission of Pre-Dental Society is to prepare students interested in the dental field with valuable resources that may aid them in acceptance to dental school. There are many opportunities for dental exposure including outreaches where members educate children about proper oral health through demonstrations and lessons. Others are manual dexterity workshops including tooth carving and banana suturing.The Secretary is in charge of sending weekly emails and taking attendance at meetings. They communicate and interact with current members, speakers, and outside organizations through the PDS email.The Treasurer is in charge of handling all of the organization’s financial affairs including membership fees, dues, and budgeting.

The Mindset Workshop was delivered in an asynchronous instruction mode online through Canvas in CNSM (College of Natural Science & Mathematics) 101, a general education class called “Think Like Einstein”. This course was taught by five professors and students cycled through each professor to learn about chemistry, biology, physics, geology, and mathematics.I throughly collect and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data including students’ responses and surveys. To add on, I evaluate mindset published papers, actively contribute to meetings and conduct literature article reviews with the other lab members. Using excel files and word documents, I collaborate with my lab members to organize and analyze reoccurring themes.

I am an Orientation Leader and the Director of First Impressions for CSUF. To add on, I was in the Student Panels committee called “Tuffy’s Insiders” where my team hosted live webinars advising new students for the new academic year.During the summer months, I furnished support by listing various opportunities and information accurately for incoming students. I advised with registration and accommodated a welcoming environment with a positive, friendly attitude. I also executed first-time and transfer tours of the academic colleges and resources to ensure students’ knowledge of campus environment and culture.

This program strengthened my academic proficiency and career development with weekly examinations and workshops. I learned about health disparities, anatomy, and physiology virtually through synchronous and asynchronous lectures. I enhanced my clinical exposure by sculpting wax-up models of dental trauma and creating mouth molds.

I shadowed 150 hours under Dr. Kush Patel, DDS, over the span of 9 months. I attentively examined general, cosmetic, surgical, and restorative dental services for patients of all ages. Additionally, I observed consultations, comprehensive exams, diagnostic x-rays, and professional cleanings. I carefully monitored fillings, repairs, root canals, crowns, implants, extractions, and teeth whitening procedures.
