    As a Communications Manager at APCOA I managed a wide range of communications functions. From the creation internal announcements, to the design of the monthly newsletter, I worked daily to facilitate the spread of information across the business. I was also the main internal contact for the company’s external communications functions, and fulfilled this role through writing press releases, liaising with clients, and creating awards entries.One of my main roles as a Communications Manager was the publication of APCOA’s monthly employee newsletter. I took each month’s issue from conception to realisation, managing the whole project from start to finish. Each edition required liaising across the business, managing deadlines, and writing engaging copy in order to create a newsletter that was made available to thousands of staff.I also managed a number of large scale projects, including a number of successful entries into the prestigious British Parking Awards. One project I undertook for the company was the creation and publication of their annual Corporate Social Responsibility report. I enhanced both the design and reporting style in order to transition the previous year's report from one that focused mainly on ‘sustainability’, to one that covered the broader aspects of CSR.In addition to supporting APCOA’s bi-annual management conferences, I was also the lead organiser of the company’s first ever Employee Recognition Event. It was my responsibility to take the event from conception to realisation, and I worked with the Board of Directors to create an evening that was enjoyable for all involved.

    During my time working with the Communications team at G4S I created a vast array of communications collateral, such as newsletters, posters and tent cards, from scratch. This process included sourcing information, writing copy, designing and printing the documents. I also assisted with the production of both the MoJ TFM and Tune In; two separate quarterly employee newsletters sent out to sites across the business.A large part of my role involved planning and facilitating a number of events. This included two management conferences, with which I assisted, and two mobilisation roadshows that I lead and organised. In my role as a HR assistant I undertook a variety of different tasks, ranging from writing and editing HR policies, to creating a pension pack for guiding managers through the pension process. In my role I also spent some time covering the HR Inbox, answering HR enquiries dealing with issues.While at G4S FM I also took on the role of Country Co-ordinator for the bi-annual Global Employee Survey. The role saw me running a twenty question survey for the UK and Offshore Islands (Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey) FM business, alongside my normal work. Over this time I coordinated the distribution of the survey, liaised with sites, collated responses and created reports.
