After serving in the US Navy for over seven years as a Surface Warfare Officer, I am pursuing my doctoral degree in occupational therapy at George Washington University. My military background has equipped me with diverse leadership, emergency management, and operational planning competencies, which I apply to my academic and clinical projects.My goal is to become an Occupational Therapist who can provide quality healthcare services to the community and advocate for the profession. I am passionate about improving individuals' and populations' physical and mental well-being through evidence-based interventions, research, and education. I am also interested in exploring the intersections of occupational therapy and public health and how they can inform and enhance each other.
