I am responsible for spearheading the development of a specified array of academic programs along with their corresponding policies and procedures within our college. I closely examine and track how industry standards and accreditation requirements impact program design, development, assessment, and revision. It falls upon me to establish effective, objective, and measurable goals that align with our department's mission, vision, and strategic plans. I diligently assess student learning outcomes across the programs under my supervision and analyze outcome data to continually enhance our programs. Drawing insights from shared services groups, I identify and execute strategies for maintaining and revising programs to ensure their vitality and alignment with assessment needs. Additionally, I keep a vigilant eye on retention rates and enrollment trends within the programs to promptly address any performance issues that may arise.

I support the college’s curriculum strategies by working with the centralized curriculum development team to identify, evaluate, adopt and integrate effective educational innovations that positively influence student learning, engagement, retention, and success.

As an instructional designer, my responsibilities include managing the activities of multiple projects to ensure they progressed on schedule and within a prescribed budget. Additionally, I research, analyze, and formulate recommendations for the continuous improvement of existing courses within the School of Business. My regular duties included contributing to document design and management issues in online, directed study, web-based, and classroom environments. The versatility of the coursework for which I was responsible provided me with ample opportunities to broaden my skill-set and become proficient in a variety of educational settings. I am excellent at managing my time and working within strict deadlines to complete tasks. This includes planning, managing, and coordinating activities of designated projects associated with the development, evaluation, editing and internal operations of the School of Business. I established and maintained relationships with textbook publishers, subject matter experts, and quality assurance employees within the University of Phoenix to make sure that deadlines were met and a quality finished product was published

My responsibilities included developing and aligning AP Psychology curriculum to state and national standards. Objectives were assigned to lessons within the courses to ensure that material and lectures were developed to produce a product that would properly educate the student. Also, I spent time filming and building virtual lectures into several social studies courses. In doing so, I gained first-hand knowledge and experience in online curriculum development, and am now highly competent in building and developing a variety of courses and assignments. This position also provided me the opportunity to engage in quality assurance work with course exams, which refined my ability to focus and pay attention to detail.

During this time, I worked with undecided undergraduate students to teach tools that will assist in college success I also worked with undecided undergraduate students to assist in career explorationPart of my responsibilities included attending weekly professional development meetings with peersand developing course-specific lesson plans. Additionally, I also created and maintained Blackboard websites for each of my assigned courses.

My responsibilities included: maintaining and updating a website with current information regarding homework assignments, classroom objectives, and contact information, taking part in monthly professional development at the district level, participating in technology training and implementing aspects of technology into my daily lessons, and creating lesson plans in accordance to state and national standards. This experience as a high school educator allowed me to refine my skills in classroom management. I am able to engage students in an energetic manner, and have the ability to help students understand the relevance of material and its practical application to their daily lives.
