I am a health services researcher with a strong focus on program evaluation, survey development, and measurement tools. I leverage my work as a Registered Nurse specializing in cardiac nursing to optimize patient and healthcare provider outcomes research. This blend of cardiology and research has driven me to pursue a Master’s degree in Health Services Research at the University of Calgary, where my thesis project laid the groundwork for utilizing big data to predict outcomes in cardiac disease patients. Over the past 11 years, I have worked as a research assistant at the University of Calgary's Centre for Health Informatics, Clinical Research Unit, and Department of Clinical Neuroscience, developing robust clinical research skills by leading multidisciplinary teams, securing research grants, and publishing manuscripts in high-impact journals. I have six years of experience in data analysis using STATA, along with introductory knowledge in machine learning and data mining. Beyond my academic pursuits, I hold a diploma in Violin Performance and enjoy teaching and collaborating with fellow professional musicians.
