I am a freshman at Indiana University, studying accounting with a minor in computer science at the Kelly School of Business and the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. At this point in my life, I pride myself on my interpersonal skills, diligence, and persistence, working long shifts as a hostess at One Bistro Restaurant and being a counselor in training at Camp Tevya. At One Bistro, being a hostess requires patience, assisting customers from all different walks of life, and accommodating people who speak other languages, are physically disabled, or have other accommodations.Along with my experience as a hostess, I also credit being an Intern in the RISE program at my high school for my leadership and hardworking qualities. The RISE program is an organization at my high school that pairs a student with autism and a neurotypical student, sitting in class and helping them with their assignments. While working with these students; I had to find ways to explain their assignments in a way that made sense to them. Along with this, I had to be patient and persistent with the students so they would be successful.I am a very dedicated and motivated person, and I aspire to bring the qualities I have used in my past experiences into the workforce. I can see myself excelling in accounting work due to my attention to detail and love for problem-solving! I hope to connect with you about any opportunities that you have to offer.
