I have been working with International SOS since February 2018 as a Security Specialist. In this time, I have assisted clients directly impacted by various crises, such as the Lombok earthquakes, Kerala floodings, Sulawesi earthquake and tsunami, 2019 India-Pakistan tensions, the Bangladesh Biman plane hijack, the Sri Lanka Easter bombings, and the ongoing Hong Kong protests. I have also written an in-depth report on travel for LGBTQ+ travellers within the Asia Pacific Region.I have juggled multiple roles and travelled extensively in the last seven years. During this time, I have developed strong writing and verbal communication skills, and have managed teams and taught large groups of students of varying ages. I have a strong interest in sociology, anthropology, gender studies, and religious studies, specialising in studying deviance and Islam. In my spare time, I am a professional writer, having published a book of poetry in 2018 with Singaporean publisher Math Paper Press, and been published in a number of local and international literary journals. I have also taken part in panels in Singapore Writers Festival as both a speaker and moderator, and have worked with the Singapore Book Council to conduct a writing workshop in 2019.
