The Director of Regional Recruitment provides leadership in the development and implementation of the undergraduate recruitment plan, oversees key recruitment strategies, oversees the administration of the recruitment team. The Director of Regional Recruitment is responsible for targeted recruitment initiatives, coordinating recruitment travel and events, developing, supervising, and training an admissions staff of assistant directors, coordinators, counselors, and professional staff. The Director of Regional Recruitment manages communication planning and oversees the client relationship management strategies across multiple platforms including print, digital, and social media campaigns and oversees the flow of communications with targeted student populations. The Director of Regional Recruitment assists in developing plans and initiatives to recruit a diverse student population.

Under general directions, this position will provide leadership and supervision to a team of admissions counselors/recruiters, aiding in the implementation of recruitment efforts and on-campus events. In addition, this position serves as the primary contact for students and will assist in supporting general recruitment efforts, as directed by the academic colleges. Responsible for follow up with inquiries/applicants and provides for incoming undergraduate students. Represents the university at recruitment events in the Dallas area. Works directly, in a supervisory role, with the Associate VP of Admissions & Recruitment, overseeing all areas of Recruitment for the university.

Participates in those activities involving the projection of the university’s image to the public and prospective students; assists with student transition; helps maintain the university’s awareness of changing characteristics of students, and secures students who can best profit from the educational opportunities offered by the university.Responsible for arranging, organizing, and planning several recruiting events in the Dallas area throughout the year in order to promote A&M - Texarkana and provide assistance to our incoming prospective freshman class and their parents. Presents information in both group and individual settings for potential students on topics of academics, admission process, financial aid and scholarship programs and career issues.Responsible for researching and conceptualizing creative methods of recruiting based on most current recruitment knowledge and trends. Employs this knowledge to design, organize, and facilitate effective recruitment programs and advertising which targets public schools, community colleges, transfer students. Monitors effectiveness of recruitment efforts by providing accurate and detailed reports to the Director of Enrollment Management.
