- Completed a 4-month research project in the group of Professor Kathryn Preuss aimed at creating a 10-coordinate complex with La(III) using 1,2,3,5-dithiadiazolyl radical ligands. - Performed pre-established procedures for synthesizing 1,2,3,5-dithiadiazolyl radical ligands and lanthanide materials to produce the corresponding novel lanthanide-radical coordination complexes. - Employed inert atmosphere techniques (such as Schlenk line manipulations) to perform air- and moisture-sensitive chemistry. - Collaborated with other members of the Preuss group to solve research problems and coordinate laboratory schedules to ensure time was used effectively throughout the week. - Presented results to fellow peers and professors at the University of Guelph.

- Completed a 4-month research project in the group of Professor Marcel Schlaf aimed at creating a water-soluble hydrodeoxygenation catalyst.- Synthesized novel porphyrin ligands for applications as potential water-soluble hydrodeoxygenation catalysts. - Fully characterized novel porphyrin ligands using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, High-Resolution Liquid Chromotography-Mass Spectroscopy (LC-MS) and UV-Vis spectroscopy.- Improved experimental design to metalate the porphyrin ligands using ruthenium and iron. - Presented work to peers in a PowerPoint presentation during weekly group meetings to obtain feedback for constant development and improvement.

- Lived in residence to ensure support was available for 1st-year students and aid with the transition of moving away from home. - Demonstrated leadership and responsibility for up to 50 students within a dormitory-style living area. - Performed administrative duties, including organizing and facilitating meetings, events and educational programming; and completing incident, wellness and maintenance reports.- Attended weekly and bi-weekly meetings to remain informed on current events and trends within the residence community to relay important information to students and promptly address issues that may arise. - Organized social and academic events to foster relationships between dormitory residents and develop appropriate study techniques.

- Completed a 4-month co-op position in the Grains laboratory focused on grain and flour sample analysis using wet chemistry and available grain-specific instrumentation.- Performed daily data entry into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Excel. - Integrated with other departments to perform tasks outside the Grains lab (sample preparation and analysis), such as determining nutrient content in feed samples using SpectraStar XT-R NIR analyzer, FOSS NIRSTM DS Feed analyzer and LECO elemental analysis instruments.

- Participated in the Inorganic Chemistry Exchange (ICE) program during the summer of 2021 in the research group of Professor Laura Turculet. - Prepared various (PSiP)Co pincer complexes and characterized using X-ray crystallography and NMR.- Evaluated the utility of (PSiP)Co pincer complexes in alkene hydrogenation catalysis using a parr bomb calorimeter. - Applied computational techniques to understand the steric and electronic profile of various (PSiP)Co complexes and establish a potential catalytic cycle pathway for the hydrogenation of alkenes. - Presented work at the ICE Symposium and IUPAC CCCE 2021 - 48th World Chemistry Congress & 104th Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition.

- Completed a 4-month co-op position in the Steinke laboratory at the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario. - Utilized the terminal and data processing software to develop a script that automates 1532 pipelines for total RNA sequencing and metagenomic data processing. - Collected DNA and RNA extractions independently while maintaining a professional workspace in the molecular biology laboratory, preventing contamination and bias in data. - Collaborated with members within the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario and members outside the organization to further develop the project.- Continued to work as a part-time employee in the Steinke laboratory at the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario following my co-op work term.- Published paper in Nucleic Acids Research Journal in September 2022 as a co-author with Christopher Hempel.

- Created 10 lesson plans each week for up to 10 children ages 3 – 14; each lesson plan was tailored for each swim level to promote the success of every swimmer.
