Unió Digital is a full-service information technology, cloud services provider, and structured cabling company offering comprehensive managed I.T. services, hosted email/voice/security solutions, and low voltage cabling IT services.The Financial Controller manages all financial activities within the company. This includes producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities for this role include and are not limited to:Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.Conduct comprehensive cost analysis on project bids and contracts to ensure profitability and manage financial risks.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Prepare budgets by establishing payment schedules; collecting and consolidating financial data, analyzing variances; recommending plansManage and predict cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.Work closely with the procurement team to ensure all equipment and materials are acquired within budgeted guidelines.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Develop and manage financial KPIs related to financial metrics, providing regular updates to management.Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost savings opportunities, and areas of improvement.Develop and manage client IT budgets by coordinating with account managers and team leadsCommunicate all issues to management before reaching critical statusManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Working alongside the Merger and Acquisitions team to ensure that an accountingintegration plan is developed and shared with the General Ledger group. Also works closely with the target company’s Accounting organization and Growve’s Accounting, Shared Services and Treasury organizations to plan and integrate critical month-end close activities to ensure an accurate, smooth and orderly process.

Perform daily accounts payable cycle including: reviewing accounts payable inbox; recording transactions; recording payments; ensuring vendor statements reconcile with internal records; and responding to vendor questions.Perform daily accounts receivable transactions including: reconciliations of daily sales with various credit card company reports; liaising with Customer Service and issuing refunds through PayPal or other sites; and recording Amazon invoices and reconciling payments and charge backs.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.Perform closing entries and post journal entries for current assets, accruals, deferrals, and any other necessary adjustments.Assist with periodic inventory count reconciliations between accounting records and third-party logistic count sheets.Prepare inter-company purchase invoices for inventory transfers and shared expenses.Assist with monthly budget reviews and compare budgeted spends to actual.Assist with gathering information as required for tax or audit purposes.Work directly with controller on current initiatives.
