Financial Controller
CurrentUnió Digital is a full-service information technology, cloud services provider, and structured cabling company offering comprehensive managed I.T. services, hosted email/voice/security solutions, and low voltage cabling IT services.The Financial Controller manages all financial activities within the company. This includes producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities for this role include and are not limited to:Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.Conduct comprehensive cost analysis on project bids and contracts to ensure profitability and manage financial risks.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Prepare budgets by establishing payment schedules; collecting and consolidating financial data, analyzing variances; recommending plansManage and predict cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.Work closely with the procurement team to ensure all equipment and materials are acquired within budgeted guidelines.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Develop and manage financial KPIs related to financial metrics, providing regular updates to management.Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost savings opportunities, and areas of improvement.Develop and manage client IT budgets by coordinating with account managers and team leadsCommunicate all issues to management before reaching critical statusManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
