Accounting Analyst
Current-Responsible for monthly accounting and financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and account trend/variance analysis.-Analyze monthly operating expenses; identify any irregularities and collaborate with the team to validate and/or resolve them.-Prepare monthly financial statement analytics and present them to Value Chain Management.-Review current GAAP, participate in documentation and development of accounting policy, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.-Responsible for the annual state filing project and assistance on quarterly Premium Tax filings.-Responsible for initiating the process and recording monthly wires and check requests for our department.-Responsible for all FIA-Fidelity Insurance Agency accounting needs and use of the Vertafore system.-Responsible for CCMC mid-month and monthly analysis and entries.-Responsible for Mike Albert Leasing monthly analysis and entry.-Assist with annual GAAP financial statement audits; prepare requested audit schedules, provide account information, and answer auditors' questions.-Develop and implement process improvements to enhance controls, efficiency, and automation.-Prepare ad hoc requests and participate in special projects.
