Recipient of the George Washington "Project for Peace" grant from GW Nashman Center, spearheading a summer project with a focus on documenting the compelling stories of Ukrainian refugees and the grassroots activism of Ukrainian NGOs. Conducting comprehensive interviews with refugees, NGO representatives, and local government officials across Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Moldova, and Estonia and volunteering extensively with diverse NGOs to gain firsthand insights this coming summer of 2024. The final product would be creation of a website focused on bringing awareness to Ukrainian refugee stories via the postings of the interviews with the refugees and the transcripts of the interviews as well as a podcast where each episode is focused on documenting the work of a specific NGO. As well as creation of a website will be presenting to students of GW in the beginning of next semester with main findings of the project in relation to the various NGOs supporting Ukraine in neighboring countries. Am currently conducting literature review for Proffesor Orttung related to the project on the current status of civil society of Ukranian NGO's.Main Duties:Translate documents relating to partnership with NGOs from English to Russian and from Russian to EnglishConducted meetings with potential partner NGOs and took notes summarizing NGO duties and prospective forms of partnership for data keeping purposesLead logistical team meetings focused on planning trip and finding partnership NGO's in each region.Conduct literature review related to Ukrainian civil society in various countries and cities of Lviv and Kiev in Ukraine.
