  At Ong Innovations, I am an intern, training to be a technical artist with a focus on the Unity game engine. As a technical artist, my job is to execute the design process of the games or products that we are developing. So far I have gained experience in the basics of Unity game development (along with C# programming skills), how to work with Unity's lighting system to create professional-looking scenes and some game optimization skills. Some things that I will be moving into learning in the… Show more At Ong Innovations, I am an intern, training to be a technical artist with a focus on the Unity game engine. As a technical artist, my job is to execute the design process of the games or products that we are developing. So far I have gained experience in the basics of Unity game development (along with C# programming skills), how to work with Unity's lighting system to create professional-looking scenes and some game optimization skills. Some things that I will be moving into learning in the future are how to use Blender for 3D modeling and animation (and hopefully familiarize me with the myriad of other tools and features it has), and also learn how to create custom shaders with Unity's new and improved shader graph tool.At Ong Innovations, I have also worked on writing documentation for some XR projects for companies like Microsoft and Decentraland (XR is an umbrella term that covers topics like Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed reality). I have also worked on a project for Meta concerning their documentation for certain VR functionalities on the Quest 2 headset. giving them feedback on how a new developer might interact with their documentation.
