Experienced Apparel/Fashion Designer, Production Specialist, and Fashion Entrepreneur with over fifteen years of expertise spanning across Development, Design, Production, Trend Analysis, Wholesale, Retail, and Sourcing. My extensive background includes both local and offshore manufacturing in Australia, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Turkey, India, and Portugal, as well as Shipping, standard sewing skills, and basic pattern-making abilities. I have worked across various domains of the fashion industry, including writing for both online and print publications, involvement in Melbourne/LMFF/David Jones/Sydney MBFW fashion shows, and serving in key roles for major designer boutiques in Melbourne.As a Fashion Entrepreneur, I have hands-on experience running my own womenswear label and consulting services, where I navigated the challenges of the local and global production landscape. My entrepreneurial ventures have been supported by academic pursuits, including a degree in Professional Writing/Communications (partially completed in the USA and Melbourne), an Advanced Diploma in Fashion, Business and a Cert.2 in Fabrics for Fashion Designers from London College of Fashion. I am also currently studying a Masters in Fashion Entrepreneurship where I shall hopefully complete by 2026.Currently, I am the Academic Mentor in Entrepreneurship and Fashion at LCI Melbourne, where I combine my practical industry knowledge with academic insights to mentor the next generation of Creative entrepreneurs. In addition, I continue to design for my label PITRA.
