Supporting the Geological Services Branch of DTSC serving as a project geologist for various projects. Reviewing technical documents for consistency and conformance to relevant state and federal guidance, and providing technical recommendations to project managers.Actively managing and implementing the configuration of Fluxx Grant Management software for the Equitable Community Revitalization Grant (ECRG). Developing internal and external training material. Participating in program-building and the improvement of applicant and grantee experience.

Served as a project manager for 15 complex fast-paced projects, which including reviewing documents, project planning, and coordinating document reviews by technical support.Ensured document reviews occurred on time and within departmental goals. Facilitated meetings with internal and external team members to cut down on feedback loops and guide projects closer tocompletion.

Managed a large long term monitoring program at an active refining facility which encompassed of 248 monitoring wells. A selected number of wells were sampled on a semiannual basis using multiple methods. Ms. DiPietro also managed an investigation in which the primary purpose was to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of light non-aqueous phase liquid, to investigate the southern and western property boundaries of the perched groundwater and Gage-Gardena Aquifer at the site, and to provide LNAPL recoverability information supporting an evaluation of remedial alternatives.

Participated in numerous remediation projects, including having a key role in task management and execution of work. Familiar with required pre-drilling protocols such as utility clearance, permitting, SCAQMD and Dig Alert notifications. Well practiced in accurately logging soil, using the Unified Soil Classification System, and collecting samples while overseeing installation of monitoring, extraction, and injection wells using mud rotary and hollow stem techniques. Experienced in mechanical development of newly installed monitoring, extraction, and water production wells. Oversaw well destruction while ensuring the process was in accordance with California well destruction standards. Expert in leading and participating in groundwater sampling events using low-flow and standard purge methods. Assisted with analysis and vertical and horizontal delineation of various contamination plumes. Using RockWare’s LogPlot, successfully generated many accurate and detailed logs in a variety of lithological settings. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Illustrator, experienced in Adobe Photoshop, and EQuIS.

Coordinating projects, logging holes (drilled or hand excavated), transporting samples to the lab, drafting soil and geology reports, pre-purchase reports, research at the city office of building and safety, use of Corel Draw for photo notes, limited billing and finance.

Auditing registers, bank deposits, coordinating approximately 12 employees’ tasks for each shift to reach daily goals, careful organization, making sure inventory is kept up-to-date and fully stocked, able to work quickly and accurately, using manual and automatic forklifts, thorough cleaning skills, excellent customer service skills, and being part of a team.
