I've dabbled in journalism, investigative work, and administrative assistance, and I've settled in insurance! One of the professional experiences that I am most proud of is working on Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond's provincial inquiry, Addressing Racism: an independent investigation into Indigenous-specific discrimination in B.C. healthcare. On the side, I'm acquiring an editing certificate through Simon Fraser University, because I am a nerd who loves grammar. I hold a BA in history with a minor in professional writing and publishing from the University of Victoria. My focus was on the twentieth century, and I wrote my undergraduate honours thesis on women war reporters during World War II. I was also a staff writer for the Martlet, the University of Victoria's Independent Student Newspaper, and I earned the 2020 John H. MacDonald Award for Excellence in Student Journalism in the investigative category.
