Vendor Assurance Technologist
Current• Manage the supplier visibility programme for product and ethical assurance.• Work with suppliers, commercial category managers, vendor assurance team and external auditing bodies to ensure that correct information is loaded into the SEDEX database.• Work with suppliers, commercial category managers and vendor assurance team to ensure that suppliers engage with Authenticate to gain greater visibility of our supply chains through their web based portal to reduce the risk of food fraud, aid identification of suppliers in the event of food scares and improve our due diligence defence.• Assess the information provided by suppliers once they have allowed visibility of their information, identifying and advising on corrective action to the Head of Vendor Assurance and internal teams at Compass.• To identify Safety, ethical and corporate responsibility risks within our supply chains and work with suppliers and Foodbuy teams to reduce those risks.• To visit / audit suppliers or work with the Vendor assurance team and external agencies to arrange audits where additional risks are seen within the supply chain with the purpose of reducing or mitigating those risks.• Work with the commercial contracts team to ensure that all suppliers sign up to the Compass code of business conduct.• Support the gathering, review and improvement of technical product specifications, enabling greater control and compliance with consumer legislation such as allergen and nutrition labelling at point of sale, and will be a key support for the commercial tender and sourcing processes.• Work with Compass and Foodbuy teams to ensure that Compass UK & Ireland meet the requirements of the Compass group supply chain integrity standards.• Checking pack copies and packaging Artworks for legal compliance •Support with sending suppliers Supplier Evaluation Questionnaires for completion to ensure that up to date information is held on file
