So far I have undertaken; - Checking identity on form and specimen(s) - Entering specimens onto Microbiology Database after getting them coded. - Labelling and Marking specimens relating to required medical test(s) - Streaking urines onto Agar plates - Assisted BMS in streaking plates with a specified bacteria in order to test effeciency of products for a quality control check. - Observed BMS's undertaking prep of samples and PCR of specimens in virology.

Duties carried out so far include, 1) Organising specimen samples for each department, (microbiology, haematology, biochemistry etc.) 2) Booking samples into the database, identifying credentials match on sample and paperwork and to records already stored on the database.3) Centrifuging samples and ensuring the delivery to the relevant department.4) Prioritising urgent and non urgent samples.
