My full-time job rquires me to run signiture projects and events, raise funds for the organisation, manage the volunteer program, market the organiation and provide all manner of clothing and other services for patients and throughout the hospital otherwise not covered by hospital management.

Ongoing project. The organisation aims to provide a service to children aged 8 to 12 years, but not limited to younger ones who wnats to take part. The objective is for children to excell in different activities. The current running project is a sustainabe garden project whereby the children learn planting skills, learn about their environment, life kills and self awareness.The program is volunteer based and receives supporting attention from Cape Town Parks & Forests, SEED (a schools Environmental and education org).A further aim is to have S/African and international volunters who can commit their time over 3 to 6 months or more to assist in various ways in example music and singing traning, language teaching, sports training (there are ample facilities in the area), drama, arts and crafts, running projects, ect

Feb 2006 I started a pilot project for the Department Social Development which aimed to bridge the gap between the elderly and youth. After that I worked in Mozambique and Eastern Cape as Project Supervisor through the Volunteer Centre by running a youth-related program in those two regions in partnership with AJUDE. I also have experience in working cross-culturally overseas through Camp Councellors USA.Since 2007 I worked as assistant training co-rdinator by providing Office Volunteer Training in Mitchell's Plain, Vredendal, Beaufort West and Khayelitsha. I went on to become the training co-ordinator for Effective Volunteer Management by training Organisations on how to start a successful volunteer program. I am training orgs at Community Chest as a service provider for the Volunteer Centre. Currently, I also run community projects for children aged 5 to 12 years since September 2012 with the intention for them to grow and excel in their own potential. The first project is an on-going garden project run in partnership with Mary & Martha Welness Centre in Mitchell's Plain.
