Working with Documentary Australia as an Impact Producer for the Stan Original Documentary Trailblazers, which captures the transformational journey of the Australian national women’s football team. Through the impact campaign we will use the film and the inspirational story of the Matildas as a tool to advance gender equality in the world of sports and beyond.

The inaugural professional development program at Documentary Australia has found four individuals who are interested in expanding their skill set and gain hands-on experience in Impact Producing. The program offers formal learning through specialist designed modules, one-on-one structured mentorship with individual members of the Documentary Australia team and a program of masterclasses from highly respected industry leaders.Participants will then apply their learning to documentaries within our broad slate of films seeking support. All our documentaries tell stories that cover seven key issue areas – Environment, Human Rights/Social Justice, Arts, Women/Girls, Youth, Health & Wellbeing and First Nations stories.

Stories for Impact brings together our learnings about storytelling into a platform of workshops, tools and resources to help organisations and individuals doing good to tell their stories more effectively and amplify their impact. My favorite part of this role is working directly with the diverse communities sharing their stories and facilitating workshops around the world. I design and deliver these programs with a focus on experiential and strengths-based learning and my aim is always to spark a sustainable culture and practice of impact storytelling within organisations and communities that can continue long after I have stepped away. I also get to practise my own storytelling by stepping into the roles of producer, cinematographer and editor on various projects.

The Edmund Hillary Fellowship is a network of high impact entrepreneurs, investors and changemakers who are building meaningful solutions to global problems with Aotearoa New Zealand as a base camp.

I was primarily responsible for building StartSomeGood's community of international changemakers in both the online and offline world. This involved coordination and content production for StartSomeGood's extensive social media channels, speaking opportunities, crowdfunding workshop organisation and facilitation, campaign support, events management, relationship management and anything else the crazy world of a startup social enterprise could throw at me!

Bhutan

My primary responsibility was to produce a promotional film documenting the history and vision of the newspaper. The process involved concept development, searching for talent and film locations, script writing, the filming process and editing. Other projects included writing for and coordinating publications, approaching businesses and international organisations to seek sponsorship and maintaining a travel blog, documenting my experiences working in the Bhutanese media. I attended several national conferences and workshops on the development of the media in this fledgling democracy, including the National Symposium on Media Development Assessment run in coordination with the UNDP and UNESCO, where I actively contributed to the development of government media policy.
