Taking a fractured group of passioned individuals and bringing them together to help uplift the arts scene has been a rewarding challenge to navigate through. Dance YYC has seen a number of successes - from their annual productions to fundraising events and the launch of their mobile app that further connects the dance community. Outside of an established institution based training program what training options are out there? In addition, what performance and choreography opportunities are there in Calgary? Overall; where are these steps to help progress ones own practice as a dance artist in Calgary? This starting point was used to develop the solution of a Dance YYC website. This platform allows local creatives to share their workshops, shows, opportunities and events while allowing access to participants in an organized and unsaturated manner."
