With over 19 years of experience in GME, I am a passionate and dedicated GME leader. I have earned the prestigious Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Healthcare Program Management, and Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification, which has demonstrated my commitment to excellence and innovation in GME program administration and management.As a GME leader, I start new residency programs, maintain accurate and updated program information with various sites and platforms, establish contracts and agreements for rotations at outside facilities, track and report all duty hours, procedures, demographics, schedules, and evaluations, administer annual exams, and disseminate scores confidentially. I also interview medical students for the residency program, manage the program budget and reimbursements, and complete all residency onboarding and termination tasks. As a co-chair of diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI), I build and drive the program to support and sustain our diverse and inclusive workforce, foster an equitable and respectful working environment, and ensure that DEI is consistent within the program. I also identify the needs of all staff and help develop strategies, training, initiatives, and action plans in partnership with the program director. In addition, I am a leader, coach, mentor, national and local speaker, and board member, with solid skills in human resources, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and process improvement. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in healthcare administration with an emphasis on project management, which will further enhance my knowledge and skills in leading and managing complex and dynamic projects.
