With a proven track record of working in pathology, I bring a wealth of experience and versatility exceeding 10 years.Currently working as a Medical Scientist in Cytology. Prior to this position I was headhunted for a role as Research & Development Scientist where I took on projects in Cytopathology, Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Pathology product development for the pathology market, over 4 years. In this high level role I became the in house Scientist lead for the ICC/IHC laboratory.Having also previously worked at Peter Mac within the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, as well as performing technical cytology preparation and pre analytical area roles in high volume laboratories for over 8 years, I am passionate about cancer diagnostics and providing world class healthcare to those in need. Beyond my pathology background I was previously a Retail Store Manager for 5 years, helping to develop my management, interpersonal, customer service and business skills - skills valuable in each role I have undertaken since.Formerly, I have volunteered my spare time at the Victorian Cancer Registry and among other leadership roles, I have been elected WHS Representative, First Aid Representative, President of the Multicultural Committee, President of the Student Representative Committee and Lions Club Youth of the Year Public Speaking Winner for the Geelong district.I enjoy learning and strive to go above and beyond expectations in all endeavors.
