I lead the small Data and Learning team at Solar Sister which includes all Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Research activities. My team recently completed an overhaul of our largest survey, an annual sampling of our direct beneficiaries to focus on the most relevant areas of interest and allow for time-series analysis and more direct comparison to baseline data. My team also works with in-country M&E experts to development MEL plans, ensure accurate data reporting, and develop capacity building activities on MEL topics for the country teams.I manage the data infrastructure for all incoming sales, marketing, and research data via Salesforce and other platforms to allow for data-driven decision making across all levels of the organization. I develop and refine organization-wide policies and protocols for all data activities including collection, storage, analysis, and use to improve data quality and organizational efficiency and efficacy. In this role, I am the consulting expert for data-related organizational decisions including data sharing arrangements, publications, integrations, and partnership to maintain the integrity, security, and ethical use of Solar Sister-held data and am responsible for incorporating latest legal and ethical standards of data protection, privacy and use including GDPR into Solar Sister standard operating procedures to keep Solar Sister at the forefront of data responsibility.
