Using the tool to support a risk-based approach to select projects to conduct assurance audits on.• Developing a methodology based on the programme delivery framework to provide assurance on the financial governance of projects by assessing the effectiveness of key financial controls at a project level.• Developing a one-page reporting dashboard to illustrate the coverage of assurance and communicate issues in key control areas to stakeholders and the audit committee.• Working with key process owners to develop pragmatic actions to address issue areas and strengthen the control environment. • Socialising key themes and reporting with a variety of stakeholders in governance forums. • Building Internal Audit’s reputation and credibility as an assurance function within the business by developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
