As a developer at Target, I planned, designed and implemented IT solutions for Target’s proprietary Content Management System. In the early stages of developing this revolutionary tool for Target.com, I structured and drove conversations with client stakeholders to understand business pain points. I translated those requirements into technical, functional and design specifications that we used as a team during implementation to build, review and maintain our application. Six months after the conception of our tool in Nov 2013, our winning solution replaced a $7 million dollar plan to replace Target's existing CMS with Adobe CQ. Our product is now recognized across the Target enterprise as Slingshot and facilitates content creation and scheduling for over 600 pages a week on both the legacy desktop and new adaptive target.com platforms. -Developed expansive content planning tool that assists inrefreshing more than 115 components weekly for the 600+ categorypages across target.com-Utilized Zend Framework 2, MongoDB, Javascript, HTML, CSS-Gathered planning requirements through daily collaboration with sitemerchandising user groups: planning, publishing, copy, design and dev-Architected data relationships and translated complex requirements intodevelopment specifications and user interface designs-Vigorously identified and drove resolution of issues and risks byeffectively tailoring technical conversations to non-developers-Identified and distributed tasks amongst the development team-Assisted in providing execution teams with a voice and a mapped outsolution to their needs

The (Re)design Awards recognize the importance and excellence of sustainable and socially responsible work created by design professionals, students, educators, businesses and organizations from around the world. The competition was started in 2009 by AIGA Colorado as a way to bring attention to sustainable design and ultimately redefine how we evaluate and reward good design.

At Afixia, I focused on developing websites that were aesthetically pleasing, customized sites yet flexible and easily manageable by the clients I built them for. You don't have to be a web developer to take control of your website. While I was with Afixia I provided my clients with an easy means to upload photos, enter calendar events, and update copy themselves through a CMS and if they just wanted me to do it, that was fine too.
