I am building an agency that gives counsellors everything they need to go into private practice or develop their business. This includes:- A custom website- A listing on our national directory- The opportunity to contribute to our national blog- A mentoring session with a successful senior counsellorThe directory is game-changing for counsellors and clients because:* Clients can book instantly on our online appointment diary* Counsellors can have a bio video, so clients can partly pick based on resonance (not just experience)* Finally a directory that is modern and high tech* Charges no commission on any clients

I expanded The Well Being Therapy Centre into 4 new areas: West London, Bromley and Northampton. Since this expansion took place, our counselling service has reached over 6000 clients. Here is what the expansion (and my role) involved:- Recruitment of new counsellors in expansion areas- Localised target marketing and advertising- Increase of brand awareness via PR and networking campaigns- Implementation of brand new online booking system- Statistic research and reports to analyse client base and improve marketing- Processing all telephone bookings through back-end use of the online system

My role was take a tiny team of 2 counsellors and grow it into a local team to cover more demand. Within 1 year I had 5 teams with a total of 90 counsellors. I managed all the communications with counsellors, clients and between the two. I was also in charge of booking administration, adword and social media marketing.

My role at Red Giraffe was to create content that helped to generate new leads. It was an honour to work for an inspiring and award winning company. My responsibilities included:- Writing e-newsletters and blogs- Content for email marketing to fresh leads- Content for email marketing to previous customers- Customer service correspondence- Create analytics reports for lead engagement and conversion

I worked as a communications assistant to the IFC committee alongside the IFC relationship manager and Vice President of the British Red Cross. My role involved:- Event programming - Email marketing - Sales management - Income processing - Publicity design - Public RelationsDuring my short period of support the BRC, my team of 2 people organised and promoted events raising over £100,000.

My biggest achievement at Housing Justice was the Tell My Story Campaign that I created. I collected stories from people suffering as result of the Bedroom Tax and made an eye catching website, where you are able to click on the face of each case study and read about their experience. The campaign got picked up by The Huffington Press, which lead to a sudden and sharp increase in our email sign ups and donations. I did this on top of my ordinary duties, purely out of an interest in activism and a passion for the cause. My general responsibilities included:- Recording and batching finances using Raiser’s Edge and Donor Direct - Handling order requests for company products and merchandise - Adding, editing and updating constituent records on Raiser’s Edge - Management of reception duties, e.g. answering the telephone and showing guests into the office - Full management of incoming and outgoing post, supplies orders, and organisation of couriers - Online communications: passing on shelter data to consultants, sending out event information to conference/forum delegates, and responding to emails in the central office inbox - Creating a complex database for the collation and analysis of data taken from trainee feedback scores - Updating and editing the staff diary - Event administration: booking of venues, staff accommodation and travel, management and collection of data from eventbrite bookings, production of delegate packs and corporate badges, updating the event budget, and sending out invoices to unpaid attendees - Taking of minutes in staff meeting and forums

Whilst volunteering as a practical assistant and befriender at the Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter for two seasons, I organised regular music performances for guests. Before starting work at Housing Justice, I held a fundraising concert for the shelter at one of Britain’s biggest shopping centres, with entertainment that brought thousands to a standstill. The two-hour event had zero costs and made a profit of £460 for the charity in donations.

I founded the Spark Action Group. Working alongside the Central Bedfordshire Council, we produced a number of campaigns for over 20 schools highlighting the issues of homelessness, substance abuse, nutrition and disability.
