Cover global, regional (EU institutions) and country-level public policy and external affairs strategy across the full portfolio of Jazz medicines and pipeline within rare disease, cannabinoids, neurology and oncology. Working closely with Patient Advocacy and Communications, tasked with identifying and addressing barriers facing approval and uptake of our medicines and developing thought leadership opportunities to promote and differentiate them and Jazz externally.Cover corporate / cross-portfolio public policy issues of significance to Jazz, including intellectual property and incentives, access and pricing, health data, and regional disease strategies – notably including negotiations around the EU Pharma Package, EU AI Act, HTA Regulation (EU), VPAG (UK) and US Inflation Reduction Act. Brief the CEO and SVP, Head of Europe and International, and UK General Manager ahead of EFPIA, EUCOPE, ABPI and BIO meetings, and represent the company on key working groups. Lead company strategy, engagement and education on cannabis control and scheduling matters, including engagement with the INCB, UNODC and WHO, alongside national controlled drug authorities such as the UK Home Office. Presented at two UN Commission on Narcotic Drug annual meetings on cannabis control issues. Additional global engagement work - UN, WHO etc - focused on neurological conditions.
