In 2020 I joined my parents-in-law in the family business to take up an opportunity. Over three and a half years I learnt an incredible amount, developing an entirely new skill set in a new industry. My responsibilities were diverse and included developing relationships, building business, being creative, trouble-shooting issues, and implementing systems to improve daily processes and meet deadlines. The Framing Company specialises in the manufacturing of custom-made fine art picture frames for international and local art galleries and various artists, corporate and domestic clients.

As the editorial director, I was responsible for managing editorial teams, developing and implementing editorial policies, monetising new and existing products while upholding the integrity of our publications’ content and serving our communities. My duties included management of the marketing and circulation department, managing the budget of various divisions, recruitment of staff and other senior management responsibilities.
