Working across the organisation, I lead on community strategy and community facilitation skills development at Jisc. I build the structures and governance we need to work in collaboration with our communities, highlight and encourage good practice, and pilot new approaches.Our power comes from our customers, sectors, and communities. We bring insight and inspiration as a sector body, and work with them to innovate and imagine new solutions. My role enables us to provide opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement, convene groups to leverage our collective power, and innovate together.On a personal level, I get a lot of joy from working with our communities and the amazing people who make these happen, both my Jisc colleagues and our fantastic community champions.I sit in the Advice team, where community is an important part of how we deliver and facilitate advice and guidance. My role there has recently expanded to take on the teams responsible for advice related to accessibility and inclusion, and legal and compliance. Along with community, these are themes that need to be embedded across all aspects of our advice delivery.

Working directly with the executive leadership team I was responsible for positioning Eduserv externally and internally during a period of almost constant change. Leading content marketing strategy through the thought leadership vehicle the “Executive Briefing Programme”. Working with a steering group of sector leaders and closely with prof bodies to create content and activities related to ’digital transformation’ in the public and third sectors. Leading IoT Tech Expo and #DMWF (Digital Marketing World Forum) content teams. In 2016 the IoT Tech Expo took place in London, Berlin & Santa Clara. And #DMWF in Singapore, Amsterdam, London and New York.The Internet of Things (IoT) Tech Expo brings together key industries include Manufacturing, Transport, Health, Logistics, Government, Energy and Automotive. We introduce and explore the latest innovations within the Internet of Things, with dedicated tracks covering the entire ecosystem including Smart Cities, Connected Living, Developing & Tech in the IoT, Connected Industry and Data & Security.#DMWF provides top-level strategic advice and digital marketing insight around key themes including: Content Marketing, Customer Experience, Social Media Marketing, Data Driven Marketing, Digital Commerce and Digital Marketing Technologies. It is an evolution of #SMWF (the Social Media World Forum) which we’ve been running for the past seven years, and has become Europe’s premier event for digital & social marketing professionals.

Leading the conference team at Six Degrees, responsible for researching key topics and trends; writing event agendas in line with audience and sponsor expectation; leading speaker recruitment; managing sponsor requirements and industry partnerships. Event series including #DMWF (Digital Marketing World Forum), #SMWF (Social Media World Forum), IoT Tech Expo and Apps World.

Responsible for the development and delivery of the magazine's conference and event programme.*Conference programme production: writting conference programmes; researching and inviting suitable speakers; briefing speakers and moderators to coordinate panel discussions and presentations.*Marketing and press: Plan, write and execute marketing campaigns for delegate acquisition (email, direct mail, advertising); making media partnerships; write copy for and maintaining events website; encourage press attendance and manage press relationships.*Events logistics & budgeting: including all venue and supplier decisions and contracts, and all cost control and budgetary decisions.

Managing the team responsible for delivering all Euromoney Seminars’ events across the Asia region. Delivered 25 financial conferences in the Asia-Pacific region annually destinations including India, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Indonesia.

Organised financial conference across a global product base in the Americas, Asia, Europe and the UK. Typical format included a two day conference programme, one or more social functions, 3-20 sponsors, 30-50 speakers and 100-300 delegates.

*Organised 4-5 training course per month, including budgeting and cost control; liaising with faculty; delegate registrations and credit control; organising print and a/v suppliers; instructing venue and on-site staff.*Venue sourcing for the complete financial training calendar of approx. 200 events per year. Negotiated and signed venue contracts for all events, analysed venue performance and managed key supplier relationships through regular review meetings.
