As someone who loves spending time outdoors playing sport, my ambitions whilst at school were to be a professional softball player, swimming star or BMX bike champion! However, things rapidly changed in Year 11 when my physics teacher handed me a book titled "I want to be an Engineer". I ran home to read it and decided to set my sights on being one of the first in my family to attend University. My subsequent career and love of construction began as a Site Engineer for a top tier commercial construction company. I was paired with a Site Manager who taught me, quite literally, how to build from the ground up. My passion for construction comes from the amazing connections formed when working in teams, the incredible results these teams can produce and the genuine support and empowerment that construction teams provide each other. When Cockram made the decision to open a division in QLD, I saw this as an opportunity to continue to grow high performing teams in my home state. I have been fortunate to be part of Cockram from its inception in QLD. This has seen me help the business grow, strengthen our outstanding culture as well as deliver incredible projects for our community. In 2017, I relocated to our Californian division of Scenario Cockram, a themed show set construction company, as the Operations Director for the LA Office.I am driven by our fulfilling culture at Scenario that fosters and rewards individuals who are comfortable with accepting responsibility and have a hunger to learn. My approach is consultative and participative and includes opportunities to receive feedback from individuals to ensure continuous improvement.Whilst my interests lay in LA, I have the ability to connect to other key members of the US team as well as the overseas divisions.
