I enjoy being a Research Scientist and have over 15 years research experience addressing climate change issues in the agricultural industry. My expertise is around mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, calculating the carbon balance of farms and working towards carbon neutral farming, with a particular focus on livestock systems. Working with a wide range of computer simulation models I have explored farm production issues around climate, economic outcomes and the carbon sequestration potential for various farming systems.Recent research is in Fiji working with national greenhouse gas inventory systems with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector to help meet Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). When I am not researching I can usually be found elbow-deep in a beehive. I am the founder of two beekeeping companies and have a passion for improving the resilience of the honey bee population. And of course, I am proud to produce premium, 100% pure Australian honey.
