Planned maneuver for the First Infantry Division (approx 20,000 personnel) in Afghanistan. Translated MG Mayville's intent for base reduction into executable missions for subordinates. Coordinated among 6 different Brigade-sized elements (approximately 3,000 people per organization) across 11 provinces in regional command-east. Built cohesion and partnership amongst units to plan for security, movement, and maneuver in the safe and expedient reduction of the organization footprint under fire. Directed (Commanded) a geographically separate organization (D Company, 169th Engineer Battalion) that trained all plumbers and exterior electricians for the Army, Air Force, and Navy. Trained all new engineer officers in the Army (A Company, 554th Engineer Battalion), integrated new training into the curriculum, and built a plan to distribute learning in a campus environment to better prepare leaders for combat.

Managed all US Army construction in Afghanistan, deployed to Pakistan in support of earthquake relief, and helped build the initial plan for reduction of forces and basecamps in Iraq. Managed the construction of helipads at Qasim Airbase in Islamabad, Pakistan. Wrote the manual that guided all US Army facility construction in Southwest Asia.
