As a Distinguished Engineer I have the incredible opportunity to be both a Director of my product portfolio and Architect for our Universities software/systems. This role includes building and enhancing our Universities Platform Services (cloud infrastructure, CI/CD), Identity Management Services, Site Reliability Engineering group, QA Automation systems and Principal Cloud Engineering team.Our Portfolio team of 38 Engineers works tirelessly to ensure our system deliver the highest quality experience for our Universities 130k students and 8k faculty members.

Responsibilities include manage and develop all aspects of the IT infrastructure for a national corporation utilizing agile methodologies; this includes M2M (machine-to-machine) SaaS services, web based ERP software and an extensive PBX/Server/Network backbone. Duties and oversight also extends into Accounting, HR, Inventory Management, Logistical Fulfillment departments and the Executive Council.Major accomplishments while in this position include migrated all aspects of multistate payroll & labor tracking to internal SaaS (mobile/tablet) based processing. Implemented mobile (iPhone/Android) employee expense entry application with automated credit card import validation that included extensive reporting. Furthermore, connecting M2M devices for PLC & HMI remote interaction.

Core responsibilities include: managing software development life cycles, software/systems architecture, server administration, SQL database management/optimization, UI interaction and R&D.Major accomplishments include upgrading entire server backbone, migration of all server/network equipment (Win./Linux) to offsite colo Data-center, upgrade of PBX SIP based phone system with IM integration, implementation of token based CC processing for eCommerce/Inside-sales order processing and MVC/JS framework upgrade/migration.

Responsible for Systems Administration Team & all aspects of facilities infrastructure for two Datacenters. Daily maintaining hundreds of Red Hat Enterprise / CentOS and Windows Servers.

As a CIO at FringeMedia I was responsible for all aspects of technology development and infrastructure for 16 internal companies. My duties included managing 17 IT professionals ranging from software developers, QA Testers, Web Support Technicians and Graphical Designers. Other duties included development of custom back-end systems conforming to daily needs of employees and customers.Major accomplishments include acting as chief software architect to build fully customized web based call-center/e-commerce management environments, logistical and physical inventory management, template based content management systems. Servicing over 1.2mil. customers, processing upwards of 1.8k daily orders resulting in over $140k of gross daily sales and retailing over 500k unique warehoused/JIT products. Developing all core applications and systems based on open source technologies. Personally architected and optimized DB replication servers running 13k queries/sec. & 1.2k simultaneous connections.

Key responsibilities included development of company and sister company websites & inner office software, database architecture management, mail/FTP/file-share server management, network administration, computer systems upgrading and procurement, technical support, software purchasing/upgrading/supporting and enhancement.Major accomplishments included being the sole implementer of a large Linux server enterprise backbone, developed company e-commerce sites and custom development of leads generation software.

Primary responsibilities include developing interoffice software; entire commission & payroll for 300+ employees that integrated with Oracle(CSG) – MsSQL(Rodopi) – MySQL(Apache) database communication and web frontend for extraction of statistical trends and email billing platform for 10,000 customers. Major accomplishments include developing custom applications for employee/customer/dealer manipulation of accounts from scratch, with numerous optimizations. Coded interface from CSG’s (Cable Services Group) massive server to our business server for manipulation/extraction of customer billing and subscription data. This was used for internal reporting and commissioning services.
