I now work on a team as an analytics engineer working with hospital systems to improve outcomes using analytics (SQL and R), dashboards (Tableau and Qlikview), and machine learning (R).I previously worked on a team as a data engineer dealing with identity resolution for hospital databases. This involves profiling and cleaning the data using R and SQL Server Management Studio, developing good algorithms to detect possible matches and merges, and then analyzing results to determine potential false positive rates.I originally worked on a team as a data architect to help develop and maintain reporting apps that hospitals can use to help them improve patient outcomes. Specifically, I worked with Qlikview, SQL Server Management Studio, and company developed software to develop relational databases used to create these reports. I have developed lots of experience in healthcare data, SQL, and relational databases through this opportunity.

I work in the Quality department, making weekly and monthly Key Process Indicator reports. In addition to that, I work in a technical role as a design assurance support for upcoming projects to assure they comply with FDA and ISO standards. This includes process validations that require statistically sound techniques. I've also spent time writing a procedure about statistical techniques, helping our company comply to FDA and ISO regulations for statistical and sampling procedures. Lastly, I work with engineers to design and analyze experiments for various products.

I worked in the Department of Institutional Assessment and Analysis. My job involved performing analysis on surveys sent to incoming freshmen, graduating seniors, and graduate students. I also helped make reports that are sent to the deans of each of the different colleges here. These reports required querying from large data sets using SPSS, then generating reports using Microsoft Excel, R, and VBA.

I worked on the Product Specialist team (Qualtrics University). This involved becoming very proficient at making surveys and knowing all the technicalities behind making surveys with the Qualtrics platform. Main skills I gained from this was learning how to look at a complicated problem, find what was most important, figure out the solutions to the problems, and help someone implement it themselves. I also learned how to learn quickly from their accelerated training program. I spent additional free time becoming more proficient with coding in HTML and CSS to help develop additional solutions for customers.

I worked in the Quality department of this manufacturing company. I was both their statistician, along with the manager of non-conforming materials. I created trend charts for data related to different manufacturing processes and performed analysis on different experiments run by the engineers. I also stabilized the process for the handling of non-conforming materials.

Worked on developing a Bayesian Poisson Regression model to perform inference on factors related to charitable donations going to Malawi. Implementation method was using a Metropolis random walks algorithm coded in R.
