Support manufacturing operations with equipment and process improvements. Corrected problems on custom shearing machine to improve cut quality and accuracy and revised program to add functionality, redesigned press brake tooling allowing for increased capacity and tool change efficiency, improved weld quality on Hybrid Laser Arc Weld operation, designed custom process for performing value added operations on stock product. Support and training for Maintenance on custom machine repairs. Working with TPM team to improve design on custom machine to reduce machine down time and repair costs. Specify and install custom conveyor for improved productivity and safety.

Manage production operations, develop new products, process improvements, equipment justification and implementation, CNC machine programming. Major accomplishments include revising a machine program to fully utilize the capacity of the machine and modifying another machine to extend its capabilities.

Engineering support for Fabrication Press operations, Electrical Assembly, and Shipping Departments. Special projects included specification, purchase, and installation of automated wire termination machine, projects to overhaul 2 large punch presses, fixturing for welding robots, die protection sensors, and addition of storage capacity in Shipping. Adjusted programming for an aging German built fabrication machine to enhance its accuracy and repeatability. Corrected a long standing overheating problem with the same machine.

Manufacture Musical Instrument components, customization of instruments. Converted old spinning lathe to CNC control. Designed and built valve sets for tubas.

Manage Product Engineering Department, supervise development of new product processes and tooling, coordinate implementation of new product production. Specific accomplishments include introduction of a new saxophone that required substantially less assembly time than previous products. Also specified computer controlled soldering machine for producing that saxophone.
