I am a recent graduate from Brigham Young University with a degree in Editing and Publishing and a Business minor. I've taken multiple courses on copyediting, substantive editing, grammar, usage, language analysis, print design, web publishing, and publication editing and design. I also worked at the BYU library for 3 years teaching classes on creative software, including most of the Adobe Creative Suite. Through this job I've gained experience in graphic design, instructional design, and experience design. I'm a creative at heart and I'm passionate about design; I'll talk your ear off about design principles, color theory, and what fonts you should and shouldn't use. I also enjoy editing and want to do freelance editing work on the side. I already have experience editing and formatting thesis papers and dissertations, both through my job at the BYU library and through freelance projects. One of my biggest hobbies is board games. My wife and I are avid board game enthusiasts and collectors. We plan on designing and launching some board game ideas of our own on kickstarter in the near future. As an experienced editor and designer, I offer freelance editing and design services for board game rulebooks. I am also currently in the process of designing an entire Dungeons and Dragons homebrew campaign from the ground up, using InDesign and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite to create materials myself. It's my dream to collaborate with other game creators in the future to design, test, and/or edit game materials.
