I led a small company located in the heartland of the United States. We traced our lineage back three decades through development of three distinct and successful ECAD products*. PresidentN8 Consultants Llc Jul 2009 - Mar 2011I have been involved with the AutoCAD Electrical product for 14 years (starting before its Cimlogic Toolbox/WD debut). This has been through initial concept, development, deployment, documentation, and demos. In parallel, I often worked closely with users to help them be wildly successful with the product. I was employed by Autodesk for five-plus years but was recently let go in their “Reduction In Force” second wave.Though this was totally unexpected, I am at peace with it. This enables me to resume my nine-year, pre-Autodesk life of working with AutoCAD Electrical dealers to help them overcome potential customer objections. It gives me the opportunity to work directly with users to spec and create custom AutoCAD Electrical applications that can help make them be even more productive and successful. I recently formed N8 Consultants LLC and am moving in this direction: Consulting, spec development, custom applications development, high-end support – all related directly or tangentially to the AutoCAD Electrical product. Recent activity has concentrated on implemeting electrical substation design on top of AutoCAD Electrical for a number of high-profile clients.

Then transferred rights to VIA Development and marketed it as "VIA/WD". VIA eventually sold it to Autodesk, Inc. and it became AutoCAD Electrical.
