Sr. Project Manager
Current• Serve as the acting head of the project management department, leading a team to achieve project objectives while fostering a collaborative work environment.• Oversee the scope, schedule, and budget of solar projects, ensuring successful completion within established timelines and financial parameters. • Build and maintain relationships with project owners and stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution.• Collaborate with engineering design teams and coordinate with the California D.S.A. and local planning to secure necessary permits and approvals.• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, budgets, and project plans across multiple portfolios, ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.• Review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes, compile them for client submission, and negotiate contracts while estimating requirements for materials, equipment, and personnel. • Conduct regular financial projections and forecasts to ensure ongoing cost efficiency throughout project lifecycles. • Administer construction contracts and perform periodic onsite inspections to ensure compliance.• Create operation manuals, technical procedures, and de-energization methods for solar projects, including the development of site-specific documentation for the California Valley Solar Ranch.• Establish and maintain strong relationships with core REC management, cross-functional internal departments, and EPC subcontractors, including 3rd tier subcontractors.• Manage projects from contract signing through service handoff and warranty claims, including ground mounts, roofs, carports, trackers, and Tesla BESS systems.• Ensure a safety-first mentality is prioritized across all projects, adhering to industry best practices and regulations.• Leverage experience working with California universities, utilities, city/county/state service providers, and various sectors including golf courses, ranches, wineries, and processing centers.
