Full stack development on a suite of micro services handling 500k visitors a day. I was hired as a Front End developer working on services using Node to server side render React views. After five months I started doing Java Development on services used Java 10 and Spring 5 as well. This allowed me to see features through end to end and work on all the services that they touched.

Instructed students in Ruby, Rails, and JavaScript development. Daily duties included delivery of technical curriculum, live coding, and assisting students with their code challenges. I was also solely responsible for delivering the Engineering Empathy curriculum focusing on soft skills to make students better team members. In addition I wrote and delivered curriculum for a stand alone React/Redux workshop outside of our regular course work.

MERN stack application development on a system that handled 250,000 visitors a day. My main responsibilities as a developer were creating react components for A/B test variations based on designs. I was quickly promoted to team lead where my responsibilities expanded to sprint planning for a team of five as well as weekly client meetings.

Front end and back end development for clients ranging from a real estate site heavily reliant on GIS information to an industry specific social application that is heavily visual. Applications used Ruby on Rails for the backend and React for the front end. I worked on greenfield projects for new clients as well as long term development and maintenance of existing client applications.
