I’m working as one of the project engineers on the Intel campus in Santa Clara on a very early phase project where we are renovating an old fabrication lab into an expansion of their vast data center network for the campus.

This being my second internship I’m learning more of the management part of the construction along with data processing of RFIs Submittals change orders and even obtaining building permits from the city of Los Angeles using prolog along with putting the packages together for each of those documents. In addition to this I sit in and also participate in OAC Facility and HUD meetings. For my side of the field aspect I work in the existing tower where I coordinate punchlists and conduct quality control to insure that project operations and construction goes as planned to achieve the target day week and month of completion to satisfy the client. Even going as far as coordinating and scheduling site walks with each trade forman to establish communications to execute any outstanding items and to insure the specifications and quality are met.

Maintained boiler cooling tower and machinery, installed repaired and maintained swamp coolers and cooling tower. Repaired and replaced steam lines replaced motors both single phase and 3 phase. Performed black iron pipe work on various components of the plant including complete black iron pipe overhauls and replacements.
