Notable Projects:Ford Michigan Assembly Plant (Paint Shop) - Conversion of plant PLC system from PLC5 to ControlLogix. Addition of equipment to accommodate the change over to build the Bronco and Ranger. PLC and hardware design, startup, and implementation. Worked on Hubbard PLC system for data retrieval and storage plant wide (SCADA in a sense).Ford Chicago Assembly Plant (Paint Shop) - Conversion of plant PLC system from PLC5 to ControlLogix. Addition of equipment to accommodate the change over to build the Explorer. PLC and hardware design, startup, and implementation.Generac Generators; Whitewater, Wisconsin - PLC and hardware design for a 32 operator small engine build line. This was Generac’s first automated line with tracking of all tooling faults, retries, and data logging to RFID. Included multiple robots for sealing, reorientation, and crucial nut-running.Hager Hinges; Montgomery, Alabama - Installation and startup of three Dambach ASRS systems along with material handling system for eight operator station packaging and shipping operation. Included tracking, pickwalls, barcode reading, WMS compatibility, automatic weigh-station and label stamping.Tesla; Fremont, California - Installation and startup of an ISD ASRS system for storage and retrieval of Tesla seats. Required AGV interface and crane accuracy tuning.Lucid Motors; Casa Grande, Arizona - Startup and commissioning of conveyor in Lucid’s Paint Shop. This included all repair bays, inspection areas, and oven safety devices.Mercedes Benz AMG US; Vance, Alabama - Startup and commissioning of a new oven and holding area post dip tanks in the MBUSI Paint Shop.Tesla; GigaFactory Austin, Texas - Wrote software and assisted in the startup for the CyberBeast Engine Assembly Line at the GigaFactory in Austin, Texas.Harbor Freight; Joliet, Illinois - Startup of a material handling system for shipping and receiving materials in a Harbor Freight Distribution Center.Fluid Cooling Systems; Burton, Michigan - Before FCS absorbed Gemini; we were working out of their office, designing software and hardware for small pumping systems. We also managed the panel build and started up their machines in house to test and tune their PIDs. I did somewhere between 10 and 15 of these systems.Challenge Manufacturing; Pontiac, Michigan - Software design and startup of one of Challenge Manufacturing’s weld lines.Blue Water Controls; Clyde, Michigan - Software and hardware design for two small, three operator offline cells that put together sub assemblies for automotive components.
