I've been a GAF territory manager for the last 21 years on both the low and steep slope side of the business focusing my time on helping my roofers grow their businesses. The favorite part of my job is when I see a roofer have an AHA moment and it changes his business forever. Roofers, like many of us, spend so much of our time on the busyness of our day to day that it is difficult to not only learn a better way but be intentional about evolving into a better organization.If you are like the other guys I hope you are cheaper.God made me to be a learner and I love reading books and attending trainings with the goal to weaponize that information into something my coworkers and roofers can use to better themselves. In my opinion, collaboration and company culture are the missing links to dominating your competition. Focus on developing your people ~ not profits and money will come looking for you.Online marketing via search engine optimization and social media marketing are two passions of mine and I speak at roofing conferences across the country helping roofers have a better understanding of both of these critical marketing tools. My goal is to help you learn how to handle your own marketing so you don't get hosed by a marketing company who doesn't care about you.I believe in incremental increases and striving for what is next and unique. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
