As a CPG marketing leader, I thrive at solving people-centric puzzles to drive business growth - whether I’m transforming marketing practices for a heavily matrixed $5B global business unit or leading a fully cross-functional team to turn around a $50MM foreign country unit. In my 20+ years of experience at companies like Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi Consumer Health, and Ancestry.com, I’ve had the opportunity to develop my unique combination of strategic thinking and human understanding across a diverse set of business problems on brands like Aveeno, Gold Bond, Rolaids, Unisom, Icy Hot, Dulcolax, and Allegra. Each challenge has sharpened my ability to take on the next one, allowing me to continually achieve innovation and growth even as I’ve taken on increasingly complex problems. Some of my favorite examples:- Challenge: Revitalize stagnant brands in the highly competitive US skincare market. Solution: Developed distinct brand architectures and innovative product lines. Result: Elevated Aveeno to #1 in body care and propelled Gold Bond from #6 to #3 overall (#1 at Walmart).- Challenge: Establish growth model for newly formed €5B global unit lacking cohesion across 85 markets. Solution: Established worldwide standards and a new agency model, built a 35-person global team, and transformed digital marketing and eCommerce practices. Result: Achieved 6 consecutive quarters of market share growth and optimized €500MM in advertising spend.- Challenge: Turnaround a $50MM Canadian start-up reeling from pandemic, recall, and workforce reduction. Solution: Rebuilt leadership, culture, strategy, and partnerships in just two years. Result: Drove double-digit growth on 3 leading brands, doubled Amazon sales, and secured future investment. Some of the core strengths that I bring to an organization are: - Decoding consumer insights to craft winning brand strategies, innovations, and campaigns- Anticipating retail buyers' motivations to secure new product launch support - Unlocking leadership engagement to transform marketing practices - Accelerating digital and eCommerce adoption and driving market share growth- Uncovering agency pain points to forge mutually beneficial partnerships- Identifying team members' untapped potential to unlock career growth and build a strong talent pipeline Are you looking for a new marketing leader or a strong sounding board to help you solve a burning business problem or elevate your marketing strategies and capabilities?
