An Emory community & Atlanta native, Nate graduated from Oxford College of Emory University and Emory College with a B.A. in Sociology and a concentration in Public Health. While at Emory, Nathan was involved in many student led organizations and received two All-American honors in tennis. After graduating from Emory, Nathan lived in the United Kingdom analyzing socialized health systems. Upon returning to the United States, he began working in pain management and spine services for Piedmont Healthcare & Pain Consultants of Atlanta. In 2009, Nathan returned to Emory as a Supervisor of Patient Access, and in 2010 was named Manager of Clinical Operations for the Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Center. Nathan was promoted to Senior Manager, Clinical Operations in 2013. He has led multiple projects ranging from Meaningful Use, Electronic Medical Records adoption, and ICD-10 preparation for the Orthopaedic, Sports Medicine, and Spine service lines. Nathan joined The Advisory Board Company's Consulting and Management group in January 2015, focusing specifically on strategy, value based care ("VBC"​), practice management & ambulatory operations, hospital performance, & revenue cycle / finance engagements. Additionally, Nathan completed his MBA at Emory University's Goizueta Business School in May 2015 with a focus on organizational behavior and strategy. In September 2015 he was promoted to Senior Consultant and later an Engagement Manager in February 2018. Advisory Board was acquired by Optum, a division of United Health Group, in November 2017. Nathan is actively enrolled in the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE​), and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). In April 2018, Nathan became a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) in December 2018. Nathan enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family in Nashville.
