My mission is to celebrate and defend biodiversity. My work is to transform the food system through support of the alternative proteins, regenerative agriculture, and biomanufacturing industries. My strategy is to cover these sectors at my blog, Fifth Industrial, as a venture capitalist at Blue Horizon (a global agri-food impact investment firm), and as and advisor to startups and charities through my advisory firm, Bombadil Ventures. I am also a part-time artist and creative writer at my figmentary studio, The Moonlit Library (moonlitlibrary.com). In what time remains, I enjoy yoga, carpentry, water gardening, cooking, and fermentation (beer, bread, etc). I have a B.A. in Economics, a Juris Doctor, three cats, and a few dozen koi.
