Diverse previous and current experience in diabetes technology and informatics, genomics/epigenetics research in cancer systems, non-profit work in fitness and health management for people with diabetes, and technical consulting for biotech/pharma and investment groups. My focus as the founding director of the Diabetes Informatics & Analytics Lab (DIAL) at UCSD was to apply the most innovative informatics and analytics strategies to translate diabetes "big data" into information, knowledge, and action for truly personalized diabetes care. I'm now extending this work in industry at Dexcom.Specialties: Critical thinking, team-building and project management to provide creative and practical solutions for a wide variety of problems, from high-throughput applications in cancer research to innovative programming for the diabetes community to successful strategies for diverse clients.
