I am Nate Kennedy and if you don’t know much about me, I started my first business in 2002 and got my start in online marketing back in 2007.My path led me to starting a marketing agency back in 2011. After 9 years of running that business I was burnt out.My wife knew it, my team knew it, my clients even knew it and I finally admitted it.The challenge was having multiple clients that paid $10k to $25K per month for my services.It wasn’t going to be easy to tell them to stop paying me. Seeing those monthly deposits brought me comfort.The problem was Comfort is the friend of average and being average sucks.Something had to change and quickly!There was no way I was going to wake up in three years doing the same thing.I would be miserable.And being a miserable entrepreneur is the exact opposite of why I became one.I started reflecting on all the stuff I had done.Things like…- Built and sold 7 Brands.- Spent $100M+ on paid ads.- Launched 3 best selling books.- Owned a mortgage company- Designed Cash Flow Websites- Flipped real estate deals- Built custom homesOut of all the things I did my favorite business model was back in 2009.My days consisted of waking up, sending an email, and exploring the rest of the day. It’s what I did for 9 months while Susan and I traveled around the country.I had true time freedom and I was ready to get it back.In January 2020 I started to map out how I was going to pivot from marketing agency to media comoany.This is when Marketing Rebels was born.We focus on building million dollar newsletters by creating brands that people trust.Fast forward to today and we send millions of emails every day to our different newsletters that range from daily news to sports culture to personal finance.The best part about the pivot is I work way less and answer to zero clients.Also, if you are interested, I have personal newsletter called called Uncommon Advice.
